Former Millipore CEO Expands Linden’s Operating Expertise

Chicago, Illinois (July 21, 2009) – Linden LLC, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on middle market healthcare leveraged buyout investments, today announced that it has further enhanced its operating talent with the addition of Francis J. Lunger as an Operating Partner.

Mr. Lunger brings over 30 years of healthcare and operating experience to Linden. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Millipore Corporation (NYSE: MIL). During his tenure Mr. Lunger led a team that doubled the revenue growth rate, executed a spin-off of the microelectronics business unit (Mykrolis), and transitioned the remaining business from a product-oriented, multi-industry filter company to a market-oriented bioscience business. Prior to his experience at Millipore, Mr. Lunger served as Chief Financial Officer for Oak Industries and Chief Executive Officer of Nashua Corporation. Prior to Nashua, Mr. Lunger served as a Vice President at Raychem Corporation where he launched the medical division and established a joint venture with U.S. Surgical (Covidien) for the development of laparoscopic surgical instruments. Mr. Lunger started his healthcare career at Baxter International where he worked on the team that built Travenol into a $600 million business. Mr. Lunger currently serves on the Board of Directors for DENTSPLY International Inc. (NasdaqGS:XRAY). Mr. Lunger served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, earned a B.S. in accounting from Gannon University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
