Linden Capital Partners Portfolio Company, Z-Medica, Appoints Chris Van Gorder to Board of Directors
Wallingford, Conn. (December 4, 2018) – Z-Medica, LLC, a Linden Capital Partners portfolio company and leading developer and manufacturer of hemostatic devices, announced today the appointment of Chris Van Gorder, FACHE, to the Board of Directors. As President and CEO of Scripps Health, Van Gorder brings more than three decades of business and civic experience to the board, including 40 years in health care and 30 years in executive positions.

Van Gorder has been honored with the coveted Press Ganey Innovation Award, the California Distinguished Service Medal for his work with California Emergency Medical Services, and the American College of Healthcare Executives’ highest honor, the ACHE Gold Medal Award. He has also been named one of the nation’s “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare” by Modern Healthcare magazine over eight years.

In addition to his leadership at Scripps Health, Van Gorder is a Reserve Assistant Sheriff for San Diego County, California, and is a past chairman of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He received his master’s degree in public administration/health services administration from the University of Southern California, completed the Wharton System CEO Program at the University of Pennsylvania, and earned his bachelor’s degree from California State University, Los Angeles.
Van Gorder joins the Board of Directors of Z-Medica alongside healthcare executives, Ernest Wasser, Chairman of Z-Medica and Linden Operating Partner, and Stephen Fanning, former CEO of Z-Medica.
